Oakland, CA—Oct 29, 2020—Lighthouse Community Public Schools has kicked off the 2020-21 school year in partnership with Altitude Learning to support its nearly two decade commitment to student-centered learning that prepares diverse learners for college, for a career of their choice, and to be lifelong changemakers.
Leveraging Altitude Learning’s technology platform and high-touch support, coupled with professional learning, Lighthouse schools have transitioned to a robust, distance learning program that is engaging its historically underserved student population of over 1,500 students in grades K-12 across four schools on its Lighthouse and Lodestar campuses. Altitude Learning began training educators on the platform over the summer and will continue throughout the year with self-guided learning, synchronous video-based training, focused small group training, and individualized office hour support.
