At-home learning that inspires your child.

We’re building something great this summer!

It has been our pleasure to support families and learners with project-based learning experiences at home during school closures due to COVID-19. We are humbled by the response to our program and honored to be part of so many children’s learning experiences.

As the “traditional” school year comes to a close, we’ve decided to pause the Altitude Learning @Home program for the summer. This will allow us to listen carefully to the constantly evolving plans that are being shared by public school districts and independent schools across the country and realign our @Home program in support of what we see as meeting the needs of families this fall. Stay tuned for what we will unveil in August 2020.

Hear what our parents have to say
What my daughter was actually learning at school was always hidden behind a veil of letter grades and percentages despite indications that she was either at or even above grade level in various subjects. Altitude Learning @Home has allowed me as a parent to help participate in her learning through a lot of dialogue and Q&A. Being able to ask good questions, explore and collaborate with others is a skill that this program will help her develop -- and I get to see it firsthand!

After a few weeks of simply completing digital worksheets from his school, I found that my 1st grader was beginning to check-out and become really bored with learning. After just a few days working on his Altitude @Home project, he was motivated and curious and the learning was deeper. He was asking questions about our food, where it came from and how it was grown, and was motivated to help prepare meals for our family. Our whole family noticed a difference in him in a very short amount of time!

We have really enjoyed the weekly program with Altitude Learning@Home. Our school is not 100% set up with e-learning, and this has been a great supplement, as it has kept Logan engaged and learning. I’ve enjoyed listening to him in the online group meeting, and especially liked that he’s meeting kids from all over the country. He has been able to problem solve mainly on his own, and we haven’t had to step in too much. The Altitude Learning platform seems really easy and great for kids (and parents!). It is a wonderful program and we look forward to next week’s project!

It has been great to see how independently my kids can navigate through the cards. They have been motivated to learn and create because of the community and projects. I have loved seeing them work through the challenges and learn to manage their work.

My child is loving his time with Altitude Learning @Home. He looks forward to the hands-on, exploratory learning experiences and sees them as a refreshing addition to his daily learning plan. The activities are age-appropriate and capture his interest. They have just the right balance of structure and flexibility-- they give him direction and purpose while allowing him to choose how he completes them. As a parent, I appreciate the visibility I get into how he works and who he is as a student.
